To consider resolving:

 

That, subject to the public interest test, the public be excluded from this meeting during the discussion of the undermentioned item to avoid the disclosure of exempt information within the paragraphs of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972 indicated against such item:

DETERMINATION OF APPLICATION FOR A JOINT HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE DRIVERS LICENCE

To consider the Executive Head of Operational Services’ Exempt Report No. OS2406 (copy attached) in respect of an application for a joint hackney carriage and private hire drivers licence.

Decision:

The Sub-Committee was satisfied that the Applicant is a fit and proper person so as to be able to progress his application or a joint hackney carriage and private hire driver’s licence. He will, of course, be required to re-undertake the test that was stopped on 2nd August, 2023. Whether the Council ultimately grants a licence will depend upon the satisfactory completion by the Applicant of all outstanding requirements of him.
