DETERMINATION OF ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION OF A COMPLAINT CONCERNING A PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER

To consider the Executive Head of Operational Services’ Exempt Report No. OS2313 (copy attached) in respect of the outcome of an investigation by the Licensing Authority into a complaint concerning a licensed private hire driver.

Decision:

The decision of the Sub-Committee, on the balance of probabilities, was that Mr Hopcroft was not a fit and proper person to hold a private hire driver’s licence. Therefore, the decision was to revoke Mr Hopcroft’s private hire driver’s licence with immediate effect.
