Enforcement and possible unauthorised development - No. 224 Pinewood Park, Farnborough PDF 171 KB To consider the Head of Economy, Planning and Strategic Housing’s Report No. PLN1926 (copy attached) which reports on cases of planning enforcement and possible unauthorised development. Minutes: The Committee considered the Head of Economy, Planning and Strategic Housing’s Report No. PLN1926 regarding an alleged breach of loss of amenity land due to a camper van being parked on the land. The Committee was advised that a complaint had been received in respect of a motorhome being parked permanently on a patch of grassed amenity land, with a power cable from the dwelling into the van over the footpath. Members were advised that an officer had visited the site twice, on 12th February and 21st March, 2019 and noted that there had been no apparent evidence of permanent occupation of the motorhome and that the motorhome was not there on the second visit. Taking account of these visits and responses from the owner of the motorhome, it was the officer’s view that under Section 171B of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 no enforcement action could be taken as the motorhome had been parked on the site irregularly for a period of at least ten years. RESOLVED: That no further action be taken. |
